No offense Garvo but your numbers contradict themselves. You say 100 but makes 5 ton of earlage or 8 to 10 ton of corn silage. But then later say 8 bu of corn makes 1 ton of silage. With that ratio 100 bu would make 12.5 ton of silage which seems closer to me.
It will be all over the board as the stalk in silage has more to do with tonnage-earlage usually more close
