Northern Alberta | I can not comment to your specific rig but since I put the 710 tires on my 4830 sprayer I reduce the RPM and typically run around 2200 as opposed to full throttle which is 2550 IIRC. The lower RPM achieved my target speed with the bigger tires that I needed FT with the 600's. My observations are that I use less fuel, less engine noise in the cab and the hydro runs cooler. It does drag it down some some on a hill but I have very few hills where I spray these days. Steve Simon (Simoninnovations) runs his 4730 @ 1800RPM and reports lot quieter yet and a lot cooler hydro temps. I HAVE run at that RPM under certain circumstances and found the same. Bear in ind that this is a sprayer and as others have suggested, lower RPM may have a detrimental affect open the spreader you are being. I can not speak to that. | |
