While a lot of what you wrote is correct in the arena of public perception.............a lot of it is definitely incorrect. As farmers..........are we just supposed to acknowledge that, and then move along?

The simplest thing I can point out...............and I don't have the fact in front of me..............but take that single loaf of bread. By the time a consumer picks that up off the shelf and takes it home.............how much of the price is the ingredients in it? and how much is the energy cost associated with baking and transporting it??

It would make for a good debate on the food vs fuel concept. With no ethanol contribution..................the oil prices have NOTHING to keep them in check. Heck, they barely do as is.
