Since it's an A6 compressor, it's probably bad. A6 compressors worked great with R12 systems. They will not last long in an R134 system. The problem is that the oil in an R12 system does not mix well with the freon and stays in the compressor. The oil in an R134 system travels around the loop with the freon which starves the A6 for lubrication. Sanden, Seltec, Nippon Denso and other compressors have larger bearings to accommodate the lower amount of oil.

Your best option is to get a conversation kit from apair.com You can get a Sanden or Seltec with all the necessary brackets, adapters, and hardware for less than half of a rebuilt with Chinese parts A6.
