South Central, MN | They will make it if
The roots are not too damaged (obviously)
Water, water, water, water. The deeper the better.
Then water more. Put more water on them then
Mulch the heck out of them. Then water them. Try to keep a channel open to deep in the hole. We ran hoses in the hole before we tipped them back up. Hooked to the hoses and ran water deep to the roots. Did surface water too. Then we watered them more and mulched more.
We tipped them up the same day they fell.
I worked a a golf course where 10 of these tipped over. 6 made it. We put thousands of gallons on each tree all summer. Problem was they got dependent on that water and kept the roots from going deep.
They got continuous water for years after.
