Faunsdale, AL | If it clicks the clutch in, your superheat fuse is still good (if it has one) but don’t run it low on Freon or it’ll blow. The fuse is a black plastic item about 1” wide with three wires connecting to it that’s tied somewhere near the compressor.
Many have been removed and the clutch is straight wired. The wire comes across in front of the radiator and back to the compressor beside the two AC lines at the left lower corner of the radiator.
Does the discharge line get hot when you run the compressor? Suction side get cool? Most likely thing there is condenser and evaporator need cleaning. Also check heater hoses are NOT hot. Perhaps visegrip one just to check if the lines feel good as above and the heat control is off, but it just won’t cool. | |
