Beef profit is already here - just going to the packers and middlemen and shareholders. Tyson just reported increased profits due to them pre-emptively raising prices. Have you seen the prices in the grocery store meat case or steakhouse restaurant recently?  Many folks won't even consider buying anything but ground beef.  As I see it -

Cattle will never be profitable through the traditional system controlled by 4 buyers.

Add in higher prices for fuel, fertilizer, feedlot corn and soy meal and....
