Excellent question! One that I should have addressed. The extra trash is part of why the 7010 feel like it had less power but it only made it more noticeable... as it really just seems to have less power. Which would make sense with the HP rating being close to the others (25-30hp more then the Lexion actually) but having almost all hydraulic drives. Belts are scary to a degree but they are a much more efficient transfer of power. There were two different hybrids in this field and one was noticeably worse on trash intake then the other... however the loss test was in the number that was easier to combine. But I still think it affected performance some... as the ST rotor absolutely must be full to even come close to doing a decent job but it doesn't handle variances in crop flow or cob size/diameter worth a darn imo. We have found it almost impossible to set it to do a consistent job all day long... even in the same field.

We did have a couple DK numbers (61-69 I think it was) that combined really easy. In one good going field we could run 5.5-6mph pretty decent in 230bpa corn and do a nice job.

These questions are great! I really want to make an informed decision on what we decide to do for next year and these questions really help a guy think about it from different angles.
