East Central Ia
Dead on.

Case IH asked us if we would run the ST rotor in our corn machine three years ago as they wanted to learn more about them before they released them in our corn belt conditions. We made the jump from a 2388 with a specialty rotor to the 7010 with the ST rotor. We thought we had it working pretty decent but its since become apparent that this is not a good rotor for corn. So we are deciding where to go from here.

I have to disagree with you on the 9120 thought... I can't even imagine trying to stuff that much crop through the same size rotor as I have and keeping a respectable ammount from coming out the back.

If you ask me... the red combines are going to see a change in the 5-7 years. I would not be surprised at all to them move the chopper way back (maybe even external) and make the rotor another couple feet longer and add a pan under it to bring the crop back to the front of the machine and dump it on the seives like the Lexion does. Now that would improve these things something fierce. If they could do it without taking to much more hp.
