North central TX | I am far from a theological scholar, I freely admit. But as I see it..
Men were given free will, men print the Bible. God certainly intended the Bible to be divine word. But to think that it has remained 100% intact without change is not looking at the full pucture. How many more books are there that aren't printed in the New Testament? Several. I also remember that the dark ages existed because the "church" suppressed and destroyed any scientific thought and progress.
I also know how unscrupulous people are when they want to control people....
The two options are not, hopefully, Believe every word with absolute conviction, or Hell. Hopefully, They are believe in Christ absolutely while living according to the lessons in the good book, or Hell.
If not, I guess I'll be one of many good people in Hell that didn't make the cut because we didn't understand/believe. I can accept that I suppose, not that I have a choice at that point.
