So i thought the 8770 has a good reputation? That tractor has same motor as the 8870. Is it that motor is tuned to hot fir a 10.1L or?

I think it's tuned too hot. That engine is running at its upper limit in an 88.

There is nothing wrong with the 10.1L in an 8760/70. The 619 got a bad name in the 40/50 series. But the 619 in the 60/70 series is a much different engine. And it's not mounted to the front axle which was the biggest problem.
