Unless you have paperwork to prove it, assume you are being lied to. Bought a tractor with a 619 engine a while back from a reputable jockey. Supposedly had a new bottom end, head and injectors done, and a new charge pump. I asked for the previous owners number and he obliged, called the guy and he confirmed everything i was told. Well it started dumping oil out the blow by last fall, and last winter we pulled the motor and had it rebuilt. EVERYTHING about that motor was completely original. With little further investigating I found out the the guy who was supposedly the former owner was actually just some other jockey buddy who works back and forth with the guy we bought it from. I was flabbergasted, as this guy has a great name and is well liked, but, this has taught me a lesson about salesmen; EVERYONE LIES.
