That's why we take everything important a few miles north, so it goes through Springfield.  Last Xmas, it took 40+ days for Christmas cards to go 6 miles or less, because they went through St. Louis.  Ridiculous for local mail to ever leave the local post office.  Maybe that's why USPS is always needing money.
