That's one thing I don't like about EZ Pilot....seems you have to nearly be on the line before it engages. But once it is engaged that thing is accurate and smooth!

Does the SteadySteer work in reverse? If so, is it like the EZ Pilot Pro where it is engaged for 15 seconds I believe? And can SteadySteer be engaged from a complete stop?

I would agree that the ez-pilot is a little disappointing when it comes to finding the line when you engage it. Autopilot motor drive (ez-pilot motor + nav ) solves these issue but I have never really like the extra wiring that comes with it. Have you considered finding the trimble valve for your tractor? If you could find a take off or new old stock they are can be had a lot more reasonable than new. I will say the steadysteer system looks like a nice setup too.
