NW Missouri | I think you'll be able to run more than that. I am doing a similar project right now through EQIP too. The number of head they "plan" for me to be able to run after I get it cross fenced is what I have been running on it before with no cross fencing, lol. And I'm not abusing the ground. Makes you wonder where they come up with their numbers.
Based on my previous experience from subdividing pastures with temporary hot wires, I'm expecting to get fairly close to 1 pair per acre in my rotational grazing system, moving them once a week with 6 paddocks. They'll be there from when the grass comes on in the spring until the crops are out in the fall.
