Exact experience here. In the matter of one round some nights, it was over. My best guess when a guy is reversing the feeder 5 times to get to the end, that is what eventually kills augers.
My reel almost crapped the bed too. Some bolts on the end worked loose and center tube was starting to break. Caught it in time to weld it back up.
New to us 6088, 3020 head…..I love it!
