D.c. Has some advantages, esp in cities. But don't transmit long distances well.
I think your abandoned RR was the Milwaukee, that that stretch was electric-- d.c.--- and the building had transformers or equivalent.
We're you u running hi way 12? If going west you'd of seen another one between lennep and east Helena. Was down there looking at goodies you can get if you run 300,000 sheep.
