NW IA | My bin is 36 diameter X 22. I start with my drier corn every year and fill with the slower drying corn on top.
I think the most common advice here has been to put wetter corn on the bottom to avoid over drying the bottom. I have never had a problem with getting the bottom of the bin too dry, and prefer having the "wet" corn on top where I can monitor it. I do have wall tubes and the advantage of mixing cattle feed out of the center 2-3 times a week.
My bin does have stirring equipment, but I am not a fan and do not rely on it. | |
