Wet corn should go on top. If wet corn is on the bottom you will spend more time and money moving that moisture all the way through the bin from top to bottom. Most air drying corn involves pushing the moisture up through the corn in a "drying front". Contrary to popular belief air doesn't just grab moisture at the bottom of the bin and carry it right out , it moves it up through the corn slowly. This is why many talk about EMC , equilibrium moisture content . You can find a chart or charts for this , just google it. You can over dry the bottom if for example you are running the fan several days and its 85 degrees out with 40% humidity. I don't have a chart in front of me but that air might only have 10-12% moisture in it. It's pretty hard to air dry corn below 14% , at least it is for us , it's not normally that hot and dry when we air dry.
