210 Industrial Dr., Arlington Wisconsin 53911 | #16 thrust washer should have triangle shaped raised areas ( 3 like pictured) around the washer that fits into
the driving gear. I've seen these ground down and also ground into the case. I suspect that since the gears
no longer mesh that your case is now bad. The side play for the gear #17 is set on how many gasket - shims are used -
# 15 in the diagram. I'm sure there's a spec but I set them for just a little side to side play. I've had a number of
bad cases for other reasons too and just buy the bare case usually from the folks at Poly Tin near Rock Valley Iowa.
Its cheaper $365 and I use new bushings and good used parts from the old row units or new to build it back.
