N E Iowa | We plant cover crop with a Hiniker air seeder that was set for 15" rows and moved them together to have 2 rows 10" apart then a 20" gap that we plant into. It all depends on your goals.
I wanted to be able to plant corn into cereal rye without worrying about yield reduction when I terminated right after planting. I wanted the cover crop to get more growth in the spring before termination.
