Southern Ontario | The A/C guy said that if he found a leak he would need to replace entire system b/c the material in outside coil could not be brazed....not a copper condenser coil.
The slime stuff you mention sounds interesting, are their some types that work better than others? My A/C guy did not offer this option, (maybe he still is not thinking there is a leak?) (or maybe he has not had experience using this yet?)
The A/C guy had said he has installed a number of new units but he rarely gets this involved in this level of troubleshooting.
Cousin said he installed one or two new rooftop units at their large church expansions and they have worked well.
I am sure he has more experience with heating over A/C.
He is a member of cousin's church and a nice guy.
