N FLA | Looking at 3-40's, makes about 98 irrigated acres. Also have to include costs for well/turbine/power unit, Zimmatic quoted 30k for this. I believe the financing on pivots is usually over 7 years, although the lifetime and depreciation may be 20 years. Dont forget interest on $80k, its significant. Something like $45/ac/year there. Operation should be about $4-5 per acre-inch for electic. Thats probably $25-30/ac/year. Cap and Trade may change that. | |
