Subject: re Panhandle of Ne.

Panhandle of Ne.
There are quite a few dry beans left. Have had 16-20 inches of snow on them in Oct. We don't have any, so I don't know if they are worth harvesting now or not. As far as the corn goes, I am sure we had some go down w/the snow and 40-50 mph winds. Snow drifted up to the tassel around the edges. I don't know if we can tell the difference though as after the Aug. 8th hail and 70+ mph winds, the corn was mangled and tangled. Still have 400 acres of beets left. We don't have any, but there are still thousands of acres of millet left. Thousands of acres of wheat won't get planted either. Starting to get real serious here as I know it is just about everywhere corn/beans/beets are grown.
