I've used those (marshmallows) to trap both raccoons and skunks. Get the big camp fire roasting style ones. I suspect they look like eggs in the dark as well as the sugar smell. Rather not have the skunks in the live trap... Last time, I got in a lucky shot (I am no marksman) with the 22 from across the yard so no stink.
Damnable skunks...
