Northwest Missouri | This is an annual question with 24d and dicamba. The general consensus seems to be that it is "hard on corn" because of the visual leaning it can cause, and there are "safer" products. Can anyone explain the mechanics of how this correlates to yield loss? Ive applied both auxins many times at all labeled stages of corn, seen all types of leaning and laying, but never felt like it suffered any yield final loss whatsoever. I have never done Side by sides to verify however. Ive also seen other herbicides applied that showed no visual effect on the plant, that I'm quite sure caused bottleneck ears, pollination problems etc. | |
