Morris, IL | Well I’m glad it worked for you, I started on the 14th about 1/2 of them made it. Had 50k stand maybe worth keeping but as non gmo I spotted another 90k. I will do it again next year. In 2020 I was more happy with my early beans. In 2021 was more happy with early corn. Guess what I’m doing, spreading the risk again in 2022 if possible.
I can tell just by your pictures you have had more heat this year then us, both crops are further along then early April planted corn or beans. We had killing frost well into may I forget the day up here along I 80. Like 4 days in row.
Anyone that thinks there are “always” and “never” and “this is right that is wrong” has never farmed. Weather makes and breaks us get use to it.
