So what were your symptoms? Everybody is a little different. I have aches and pains that I believe come with age. I'm also one of those that won't go to the doctor unless it's really, really bad.

Me either, if it don't need cut out or sewed up, I do my own Dr'ing. I'm well read enough to diagnose most stuff.
My experience - just suddenly felt nauseous , completely out of the blue ( haven't puked more than twice in the past 10 years), it went away in about 5 minutes, about 30 minutes later it came again, same deal, only felt a bit dizzy this time. Again lasted about 5 minutes, In the back of my mind I knew something wasn't right, heart attack was what my thought process ended with, but I couldn't admit it. about 20 minutes, Again , only this time I had to sit down, and was absolutely dripping wet, I mean completely wet, clothes and all.
I went and told my son, he didn't believe it either, googled my symptoms, YUP. So we jumped in his vehicle and headed to the hospital, he drove, I called the ER to let them know I was coming.
Normally a 45 minute drive, we made it in 25, just as we were pulling in I started getting the classic left arm symptoms.
I was in and out of surgery, before my wife arrived the hospital.
Dr said he had never seen any living person with blood as thick as mine was that day, he asked permission to share my case with his colleagues.
We always hear that the Heart is the seat of emotions, I had the oddest, most sad emotions sweep over me when I got the left arm pain/numbness, tears just flowed.
Not that I was afraid of dyeing, wasn't worried about recovery/restrictions - I assumed I'd make a full recovery, all that went through my mind as the sadness swept over me. The one thing I can't explain.
