My guess is that WAAS is going to be around for a while yet. I doubt the FAA is going to be to excited about replacing WAAS and aircraft are the primary reason WAAS exists in the first place. Aircraft tech takes a long to be certified and approved and WAAS is still the aviation standard. The more immediate concern is RTK receivers and base station using the current L1 and L2 signals.
