Subject: RE: Heitman tractor salvage

Central Illinois
We bought a DT225B from him.
1. We bought from a salvage yard
2. didn't expect a perfect tractor
3. Didn't pay for a perfect tractor
4. Water pump shaft was broke he took it to a dealer and had it fixed.
5. Batteries were faulty and he replaced
6. Our old tractor had hole in oil pan and he traded fair
7. When we got it two electric over hyd valves needed to be replaced
8. We replaced two rear tires
9. There were other minor repairs.
10. He buys tractors to salvage and if he can sell them whole he does.
11. I'm planting with the tractor as I write

That all itemized would deal with him again. We bought one thru AGCO used equipment through our local dealer. We've had higher cost repairs on that one.

It's always a gamble buying used

There's no way I would buy from a salvage yard with out looking at the tractor. If I couldn't live with the consequences of buying a used piece of equipment then I would have to buy new.
