Haleiwa---you hit the nail on the head,,sometimes you might get 0-100 bd ft. I sharpen blades for a guy that saws alot of reclaimed timbers,,,, usually old barn wood,,,many times he makes 1-3 cuts and the blade is dull or sometimes destroyed. 1000 feet doesn't happen often but is possible. Knots, dirt, and iron definitely take life out of the blades.
Anyone have a Woodmizer Sawmill?
