If its a decent piece I'd look at online consignments. Here multi location online consignment auctions are gaining popularity, still get the auctioneer exposure and don't have to move it anywhere. May not be an option in your area. Small items pick the consignment based on the local market, example we sold our old mixer mill at the mennonite area sale.
