| It really depends. If you want to get the most money. Craigslist, Marketplace, other online farm equipment sites.
But you have to deal with calls, E-mails, people not showing up when they say, offering half of what you were asking.
....wanting to pay on time, other garbage. ;)
There are 3 decent size live consignment auctions in my area over 30 days. You ask anyone around. The South one, and North ones are known more for older, poorer shape equipment. The place in middle for higher priced stuff, better quality in general.... but they also charge a higher sellers premium.
So depending what it is, where I would think taking it.
I have a grain vac, a soil saver, and a tractor. I might try to sell. Those I will advertise myself, see what I get. A couple old plows. Those I sent to auction. Imo the extra cash I likely would have gotten would not have been worth my time. | |
