With a $1.69 spread between old crop and new crop corn and $2.24 between old crop to new crop beans tells me something about how empty the grain pipeline is right now. Now reason to contract anything. Just let the market come to you. If you want to contract or hedge you have a lot of time to watch the market and decide. As for cattle, their only hope is lighter carcass weights which may happen with these grain prices.
