Southern Pa.

No cherry trees for eating but can see 1 in woodlot that has been in full bloom for a few days now.
Barn swallows were back last week and tree swallows were circling their nest boxes yesterday.
Tree swallows are at back of farm across road and I had not been back there for a few days so may have arrived a few days ago

Magnolia bloomed in time for a good freeze in early April so just brown since then.
Have only found one asparagus spear yet and it is in flower bed. Patch is not showing any yet.

It's amazing to me how far behind Ontario is when it comes to spring greenup. Doesn't seem like it's that much farther North compared to Southern Pa, but I guess it anounts to more than one would think.

My wife has asparagus shoots 2 ft high, and one inch in diameter in her asparagus patch. In other words, they should have been picked long ago!!!!!
