NC IL I80@68 | Gulf Oil was involved for a while late 60s-early 70s . Had one in Ladd , Kirkland I think Elpaso maybe not sure . Remember Sinclair (sp) later became Arco then First Miss . Was couple Standard Oil too.like mentioned they were only liquid and nh3 though . The Gulf outlet in Ladd was originally a Spencer outlet owned by locals just handled nh3 maybe a little 28 . When Gulf took over they had everything , custom spreading and spraying etc .’Talk about old times they loaded ammonia direct from tank cars on the rr siding into nurse tanks they had a big tank bit it was too slow they bypassed it some way . It’s a miracle nobody got hurt the way we operated back then . I guess we knew what it was and respected it . | |
