SE IL | You may be buying newer ones than me? Im pretty cheap. Have an 01 2500HD that I bought in 2011, been a solid truck except it turned into a rust bucket in short order even with only 110k mi. Have an 09 1/2 ton 4dr with now 125k mi and fenders and under the doors are showing decent rust already. Will look pretty crappy in just a couple years. Cant keep the check engine light off on the thing either. Dad has a 2014 1/2 that has check engine light on constantly also. In college my wife bought a Malibu and it had electrical issues from day 1 (25k mi). By 80k mi I was finding metal fillings in the oil. Shop said its common, they are a 100k mile engine...wow. Bought a Camry with 30k mi and drove it to 150k and felt like it was just broke in. Hadnt even needed brake pads yet, just oil, tires and few preventive things at 100k. Needed more room for kids so bought the van. | |
