I thought I would mention that there are some dating sites that are geared toward the 50+ singles:

You will probably have to weed through a few scammers at any of the online sites. And you might have to go to a theater or art exhibit in order to make it to dinner and conversation. And you might have to travel out of your area. I think that as long as you are honest about your intentions from the start and communicate what you are looking for, I think it would be a fun adventure.
If I find myself single again someday, I think I would sign up for some of those trips/cruises/vacations that you see advertised in the back of farm magazines. You can pick the time of year that you want to travel and go see things that interest you. Or go to something like the Commodity Classic or National No-Till Conference and flirt with all the female sales reps at the booths :)
