If the B17 comes back, I'm going up in it the next time!
We've volunteered the last 4 years working on the B17 (Champagne Lady) being restored in Urbana, Oh. That is a monumental task, but they are getting there. They are hoping to have it in the air in 5 years. Topshot…. if you get the chance, drive over there at check it out. It is in the museum at the north end of Grimes Field on Hwy. 68. Don't be scared to stick your head in the hangars on the south end, either. They are working on some pretty cool planes there as well and have no problem giving you a little tour.
