MN | It's great that you are thinking of giving this person a chance. The equipment could be purchased relatively inexpensively - he doesn't need brand new - just functional. Seed doesn't seem to care what kind of planter it comes out of - just that it's the right depth and covered adequately. He could hire spraying done if needed. For a combine, he could get something that would do the job reasonable and a couple gravity wagons. Everyone starts somewhere. 50/50 crop share would be a good starting point or flex rent.
