It is absolutely imperative that you understand all the different bolts, torque methods, foot pounds and degree turn for the 466 head bolts

There is a whole set of instructions that come with the new bolts that give block casting numbers and specifics. Make sure you follow them to the letter and better yet talk to someone that absolutely knows what they are talking about.

I helped a friend replace the head gasket and put the head back on a 4450. Parts gave him the wrong bolt set and only by reading the instructions did we determine they were the wrong one for the block casting numbers. There is a lot of confusion over this.

Please read these 2 threads and pay close attention to ronm's words of wisdom you can pull the threads out of your block if using the wrong bolts and torques
