Posting for a friend that has a  JD 4450.

He just called and said he's got a broken head bolt and blown head gasket. Bolt head is completely missing

He asked me to find out if there were any particular points that should be addressed or possible known shortcomings with head gaskets or bolts ?

Also need specs for adjusting valves and head bolt torque and whether bolts should be lubed or dry when torquing down ?

Any tech manual or specs anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone can email pages from a service or tech manual that would be great too.
