Subject: RE: NAT approved load?

Nw Iowa
Reminds me of time I bought a trailer in northern mn. I had to bobtail almost 200 miles so I decided I would load fence posts and some older rear tractor tires on back of semi to drop off at a friends consignment auction north of twin cities where that stuff sells pretty good compared to here, to pay for fuel anyway. Pretty proud of myself as I got it all strapped down nicely, taped up strap ends so everything good. Everything fine for about a hr and half, than one of ratchet strap ends got loose and under a tire and whole load kind of exploded right down I35 closer to cities where it gets busy. I looked in rear view mirror and there were two tractor tires rolling right down the center line. I got truck pulled over and somehow got to middle of road where tires had stopped and got both off road before anybody hit anything or myself. Luckily I only lost a few posts and they were on the shoulder. Day I will never forget.
