Callao Missouri | Sorry for your loss, much like your MIL, My grandmother spent the last two years in nursing home, and passed two weeks ago @ 96. What we have done to this nation with the whole covid thing is ridicules. What we have done to the elderly is borderline elder abuse. Locking them up with no visits, no interaction etc all in the name of keeping them safe from a virus that may or may not harm them. Most of the elderly in those homes are at a point in life they are looking forward to the next phase, what ever you believe that is. If Grandma would have got covid and succumbed to its grip a year ago, so be it, it would have eliminated the last year of misery on her part. If she would have recovered great, she could have enjoyed daily and weekly visits from family. But we let the crazies run the country now. | |
