Southern Indiana | After a little more thought I completely agree with the imprinting comment. Spring calves are checked twice daily in a small pasture or drylot situation. Fall calves are out in bigger pasture and checked once daily, especially on the farm that's 5 miles away. The calves that get tagged closer to when they hit the ground are always a little more social. Even with daily feeding the fall calves are always a little more skittish. | |
