The company that is complaining basically has a monopoly in the community...

I think that statement probably says a lot. I'm not saying that their complaints are without merit, but I would suspect they're not too fond of a new kid on the block.

It would be interesting to talk to their customers and see if they've noticed any problems in their service since the new provider arrived.

If the new kid was interfering with the others signal, customers would certainly notice a change in their service.

I'm not sure I would just accept someone's word for it though in this case. I would want to see exactly how my equipment was interfering with someone else. Again, it could be poor equipment on the complainers part.
