its vehicle dependent, but i purchased the extended warranty on a used dodge ram megacab. it paid for itself big time after every joint on the truck failed. I didnt pay a dime more than warranty cost for any of it, and yes the repairs were far more expensive than the warranty. I seem to be in the minority here
