Yes I plan on getting everything back.
I will have to do some checking on how old it was.
We have fibre but I would not rule out some high voltage as we have replaced several light bulbs recently that were not the old.
Have been watching voltage since and it is pretty steady around 120 but did see it at 121.9 once.
The 'crack' was quite loud and did cause computer to hang up but after a hard reboot it still worked however I did not check the ports to see if they still worked and that was the reason they said they had so many problems to read data from drive.
