South Central MN | I don't have any experience using it, but I had a similar question on a different forum. They recommended trying a KVM extender. https://www.amazon.com/TESmart-Extender-Ethernet-Sender-Receiver/dp/... As you said, it needs a dedicated ethernet line. This one has a range of 300m. I don't know how you'd handle selecting which keyboard you want to use though. I know that they make KVM switches, but I don't know if they make KVM splitters. If they only make a switch, then the switch is going to be in your office and you won't be able to access from your shop anyways. I suspect there's still going to be some lag and sounds like possibly some noise in the system. In my situation I wanted to locate a computer in my basement but view and control it from a single monitor and keyboard upstairs in my office. I believe the extender would work in my instance, but I don't know how well it'd work when you want to have dual KVM setups. | |
