I've bought used phones off Ebay. Look at Ebay seller rating before buying any phone.
One phone I purchased off ebay quit functioning properly about 2 weeks after receiving it. Seller had a 30 day warranty/guarantee. I contacted the seller and had zero issues getting a replacement.
Like anything used, it could quit working at any time.
